Shri Sobhagyamal Saklecha Charitable Trust (SSSCT) (Reg No. 908) a non - profit organization established on 22nd April 2005 with a mission to serve and help the poor people, is placed in Indore, a trading capital of Madhya Pradesh, India; having almost 438 officially recognized slums (USAID, EHP report, 2003).
The organization was set to provide the medical facilities and general awareness about primary health care. In the span of more than four years it has served 38,708 men and 58,062 women from the free clinics, 2,042 with medicines, 948 for pathological tests, 99 for operations/ hospitalizations, 56 for dialysis and 12 with hearing instrument. 57 eye camps have been conducted benefiting 14,805 patients, by distributing 9,055 spectacles and conducting 1,692 cataract operations. Initiated Family Life Education Programmes in schools for adolescent boys (2,612) and girls (1,219) on HIV/AIDS awareness.
The Trust has a team of dedicated members, Patron Mr Ashok Saklecha and Managing Trustee Ms Yashwant Saklecha, along with seven other trustee members and four permanent visiting invitee doctors. There are four part time employees, five volunteers and two regular visiting doctors in the Trust. A small team of trust, dedication and support needs guidance and funds to serve the poor.
